Friday has rolled around again, which means it is time for Friday Cocktails! The giveaways are back! You may have noticed that I have also just gotten round to closing out past giveaways. This is something a few of you will have already heard but I recently discovered that the girl I had hired as my assistant didn’t follow through on a lot of my giveaways.
Not only that but posts weren’t posted and she cleaned out the bank account I set up to give her access to in order to purchase any giveaways I run myself. I have spent the last month talking with winners, getting prizes ordered and shipped out, giving away “I’m sorry” extras and more. On top of just coming out of the hospital which is why I hired her to begin with. Having a chf means hospital stays from time to time.
I wanted to have help who could handle things in my absence so that y’all wouldn’t know the difference. I have of course learned my lesson. If you received an email anytime since June that you won a prize and haven’t heard from me or received your prize please be patient. I have about a dozen or so emails left to send and people to reach out to.
Life can be cruel to us at times can it not? I left the hospital thinking everything was going to be okay. I had a series of articles pre-written for when I was in the hospital as well. It was letting y’all know and updating things. Instead she posted my update of everything being great. On top of fixing the things she did, closing the bank account, and filing police reports I have working on future articles. I wanted to get things written and edited so I can just post from the hospital if needed.
My wonderful sister in-law said she would help as much as she could as well. She said when I was in the hospital she would close out any giveaways in the future and ship and prizes. art of me wants to find someone new but I just don’t think I can at this time.

I had some trouble sleeping this week. My husband has been away on business in Canada. I’m glad he’s coming home today.
Busy with doctor’s appointments as usual, other than that, pretty quiet. I hope Karma was watching your assistant and has plans to repay her in kind! I hope you have a better October!
I’m so glad my work week is over. We have been ultra busy, working towards a 4pm Friday deadline. I’m glad we reached it.
My week was much better than yours. Sorry for all the stuff you’ve had to go through.
I got my flu shot and the latest Covid booster last Saturday. Sore arms for a couple of days but not bad.
It’s Thanksgiving here in Canada this weekend so I was preparing and shopping for that this week.

My week has been busy with yard work and getting wood ready to bring inside. Each year it seems to take a little longer.

My week was nice and quiet and I sure needed it. I got a lot of work down and had some time to myself which I so so needed.

I have a nice week. I’m enjoying the cooler weather. I went to my niece’s bridal shower and to the zoo with my daughter.
