Friday has come again and it is time to take a moment or two to share our week. Take the time to slow down, catch our breaths and just grab a coffee with a friend. Okay, I’m not drinking coffee but y’all know what I mean.
This week has been pretty good if I do say so myself. I got a project I am working on off the ground. I’m feeling pretty good about it and think that it has helped me find a bigger purpose. I’m not sure but it feels that way.
The rest of the week was good but busy with work. For those who don’t know I am an assistant to a couple of authors and that work keeps me busy. Add in the blog work here and my other project as well as Storied conversation and there are times I wonder about my sanity.
Just a couple of Instagram posts that made me smile a little this week. I thought they would make you smile as well.
He’s working hard in his training. I love this! It is so cute and just made me smile so big.
Okay, we have had that one kid. My nephew was like this. All he wanted was to stand out there in the rain. It was both cute and frustrating at the same time. Cute when he was doing to his parents but frustrating when I was the one trying to get him in the house.
I love when kids sing and this was super cute. I bet they love this teacher! She seems like so much fun.
I started meal planning to help me in the grocery store a little more. WE shop monthly and well lets be honest sometimes I don’t buy enough of something or I buy too much of something else. So, I thought I would share what our dinner plans are for next week and see what you think.
- Monday: Tacos
- Tuesday: Pork Chops with Cheesy Rice and veggies
- Wednesday: Salisbury Steak, potatoes, and veggies
- Thursday: Hamburger Helper (cause I tend to be lazy in the middle for the week)
- Friday: Fried Fish with Hush puppies and Cole Slaw
- Saturday: Hot dogs and pasta salad
- Sunday: Roast with Roasted Veggies, Dinner Roles, Pecan Pie
I thought I take the time to share three things that you can do or read for a little self care, a moment of peace and quiet or more.
- Small Wins: Celebrate all the small wins every single day. Sometimes we are so focused on our huge goal that we get bogged down. We forget that the smallest win is a big step towards our goal. So, celebrate that you got the laundry done or you met a deadline.
- Slow Down: We often tell our children to slow down when they are riding their bikes too fast or get frustrated when they can’t get something done quickly. Yet we don’t take that advice ourselves. We get stressed and ran ragged when if we just took a a moment to slow down, all those tasks on our to-do list would get done.
- Thing: words
Did you know I write more than one blog? Well I do and here are a few highlights from Storied Conversation. Please note that clicking any of the links below will take you away from Rita Reviews. I just wanted to let you know but please click away and give these blogs some love as well. You never know what you may find.
I thought this time I would just do random posts from the past to highlight to get them a little new love.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I have had better weeks that’s for sure lots of drama. One a brighter note though the weather is a little cooler but still no rain.

I enjoy the romances Sarah Honey writes with Lisa Henry, but I had no idea she was a teacher—how cool! This week has had its stresses for sure, but I had some nice lunches out with my mom…

I’ve started reading a new book this week. It’s a mystery involving a woman traveling to Sicily to find out more about her family history.
