It’s Friday again and time for another weekly catch-up. This week has been one of those weeks where things have been off but I couldn’t for the life of me tell you one thing that has made it that way. You ever have that feeling? It is so strange.
My uncle and I were sitting in his doctor’s office the other day waiting for them to bring int he paperwork for his next surgery when this loud beeping started. At first I was confused but then the dang fire alarm light started flashing and all I could think was I am going to have to walk down three flights of stairs with this bad knee. Luckily it was a just a test and we didn’t have to go anywhere.
Of course this was after I had to go down a flight of stairs from the parking lot. I was taking my time doing them one at a time when this older man started to come up them. So I stopped to allow him to go first. He told me to go ahead but be careful cause no one wanted to attempt to pick me up off the ground.
I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to laugh or cry. I mean what a horrible thing to say. But instead I laughed it off and thanked him for his service. After all if I had fallen after that comment I would have endured any sort of pain to myself off the pavement.
So, yeah it has been that kind of week. The kind where I am supposed to call my sister back (like on Tuesday) but haven’t yet because I don’t want to hear all of her complaints. I got my own this week.
This made me smile this week.
I keep getting these clips from this upcoming series on my Instagram. It doesn’t come out until July on Youtube and I will say that every clip makes me laugh. It’s a comedy series on the book Exodus. I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but this just made me laugh. You just know there was a cousin like this is group of millions.
I always laugh at these videos but I have to say him vacuuming the yard is the best one yet. I mean my mother stands in the window with the blind pulled down. Y’all know what I am talking about, that one one slat pulled to its breaking point. So these posts always make me laugh out loud.
I don’t know why but this picture just made me smile when I came across it. There is just something about it that thinks she would give the best hugs.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Stairwell guy’s just a jerk, I’m so sorry! (I feel for whoever has to deal with him regularly.) My week has been blah with lots of household repairs, but I have reading challenges to keep me busy…

It has been a slow week. It’s actually been really nice after a couple busy months. Read some books and gardened. Then it has been raining for a couple days so I caught up on tv shows,

My week was HOT. Summer has finally hit the desert. I started a good eating plan though and stuck with it all week so I’m pretty proud of myself. Also found out that I have a small skin cancer on my finger, so that put a bit of a damper on things. So glad it’s Friday!
