I am sure ya’ll have been wondering where the heck I have been? Well, last month (mid-month) I fell and hurt my knee. It was one of those moments where you go to sit in your desk chair and the chair goes flying out from under you. Well, I was too far into the seated position to stop the fall.
It was honestly more embarrassing than anything. The problem was I couldn’t get up for a bit. I had landed on my right side and knee but also hit my head pretty hard. My uncle was not home (although I later found out he was in the backyard having not left yet) and my mother was recovering from having skin cancer removed in her arm. She was asleep at the time. I lay there thinking I am going to have to call 911 and tell them that I have fallen and can’t get up!
I did get up and went to the emergency room where I found out I had twisted my meniscus a bit. Not a huge deal but I had to stay off my knee for a week or so. Then started some stretches. They did tell me there was some arthritic changes in my knee that meant knee replacement would most likely happen sooner than later.
Everything was healing well I was up and moving around again. Then, for whatever reason at the beginning of this month, while walking to the kitchen I went one way and my knee went another. I haven’t been able to get around hardly at all without a walker or crutches. Nothing is broken but nothing is right either.
I honestly haven’t felt like sitting at my desk much. My knee hurts! Sitting with it bent for too long hurts but elevating it for too long does as well. I don’t mean to sound so whiny but this has been a lot. My brother told me when they do the knee replacement tell them I want the knee of a ten year old because those knees are tough!
She makes my day EVERY day!
I couldn’t embed one of her videos because I think she has it turned off but y’all have to head over to Instagram and check out @auntieamandalee! She is simply the nicest lady ever! There is something so soothing about her posts and she eats the best things. It’s like sitting down and having a meal with your best friend after a crappy day. I follow her via my Storied Conversation profile and I make sure to watch her everyday.
This made me smile this week.
I just discovered this account and I love it! I can’t wait to see if she does one for June because I will certainly be attempting to do it. If she does I will make sure to share it out on my Instagram.
I love watching this candy be made. I don’t know why but there is just something so satisfying about. I want to go and watch them do it in person one day.
I loved this show and Julia was always one of my favorite characters. She knows how to put your right into your place.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I’m sorry about your knee! I hope you recover quickly. My husband was away on business this week, so that means I could barely sleep. But he’s coming home tonight so I’m looking forward to that.
