Fun with Walkie Talkies

Jul 29, 2020 | Rita

How many of you have Walkie Talkies for your kids? We didn’t and then we were given the chance to try out some and I must say they are loving them. In fact, we are using them as well. They are from Topsung and you are going to love them.

These Walkie Talkies are more than just that. The are also NOAA weather radios which is awesome when the weather is bad. We can listen to weather reports. In those moments each adult keeps a Walkie Talkie as well as their assigned child. It makes things easier in an emergency like that and these will make finding one another easier if needed. After the F5 tornado a few years ago we are super vigilant.

They come in a little bag inside the box. The bags can be used to store them later if you want. We don’t since we use them so often but you certainly could.

You get battery packs for each one as well as a charger that will recharge all three at the same time.

The three Walkie Talkies come in three color combos. That can be fun because everyone gets their own color or it could drive you up a walk. Mostly because the kids argue over which color they want and they always want the same color as each other.

You have the standard clip on the back of each one. You can clip it to your belt or on your bag. Which is something my uncle and the boys love about it. The boys think it makes them look offfical.

However there are lanyards that will attach and allow you to wear them. That is something I like because it makes it harder for me to lose.

I can put it around my neck and walk. I do that in the mornings because I lose cell phone service in a couple of the areas I walk in. This gives me a way to call for help if I need it. Ma and my uncle have the other two while I am walking so we can stay in contact with one another.

You plug it up on the bottom and charge the batteries. You can also plug in headphones down there as well. We haven’t used that feature yet.

As I said we are enjoying these so much. The kids play with them some and we make sure they stay charged so we can use the weather radios if we needed to. They are certainly a must have item for any family.
