This month’s Gabby Moms review spoke to me more than any of the past. Being a mom is hard and being a centered and sane mom is even harder. Not to mention learning to be grateful, it is not that I don’t want to be but life sometimes gets you down and you forget. Lorrie tells us that being grateful is something you choose to be and although it is a hard thing to achieve, we need to try really hard to keep a grateful heart. The reason is because our children are watching all that we do.
I know I have a hard time with trying not to be sad and discourage even ready to give up on faith all together. Lorrie told us that she also gets sad from time to time because she misses her parents. I can relate to that because I miss my daddy every day. He was the one person who no matter what could make things right. He use to say to us that we needed to live for the day and not to worry because God will provide for us. He was always right too, God always provided us with the things we needed. Pain and misery can overtake your life and no matter what situation you are in it can be your driving force.
Lorrie helped remind me that the Lord wants me to come to him when I lose that sense of gratefulness and lose my way. That I need to come to him so my children will learn that he is the answer to all of life’s problems and trials. Every night before I go to bed I try to find at least one small thing from the day to be grateful for. What I find is that the one small thing becomes many larger things.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I like this! I would give this to many at Christmas. It is so hard to remember and I try to be grateful at least once a day for something. I do pray, but need to work more at the things people do in my life everyday that I am grateful for. What a great book, thanks for the review & link!
