How many of you have game night with your family? When I was growing up we had game night every week and as we got older if we didn’t want to participate my father would actually have the cable disconnected so we would have no choice. Honestly it was a ton of fun! I remember playing the Game of Life with my older brother who always managed to have two cars with those plastic peg kids. The funny thing is he has the most children now as well!
We played Twister as well but I was never very good at it. I usually was one of the first ones out and then I spun the dial for everyone else. Another favorite game was Monopoly and we had a blast playing it. Once we even ran it completely out of money and had to cut paper and use it as money instead. We play games with our children as well. I want them to have the same fun and togetherness that I had growing up.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

We played game night when I was a kid all the time. Lets just say that I have not done it for quite awhile. But it is a lot of fun when I get all the family together and play Monopoly!

I felt bad that I left a one sentence comment so I thought I should add something. We have on our game night a winner pick snack. So the winner of the games get a choice of what snack we will have during our game.

We do a game night about once a month. We do ours with my sister’s family. It is a blast. The little kids always like to pick charades to play. It’s a blast to watch them act out all the different things.

My son is 3 and has a short attention span but I am looking forward to when he is a little older so we could have family game night.
