Geekatoo is your friendly neighborhood technical support, so to speak. I mean lets face everyone needs some computer or gadget help at some point. You can tackle your items in and leave with bigger named support geeks and hope they call you in a week and fix the problem. I don’t know about all of you but that is not my idea of fun. I need my computer at home, working when I am ready. Not on someone else schedule.
What does Geekatoo Do?
Well Geekatoo connects you with local geeks in your area that can fix the problem. You get to choose where the problem is fixed at such as your home, the Geek’s home, or a neutral place. To get started you enter your problem into the screen like you see above and then go from there. You then get to choose on the bid you want and Geekatoo sends your information to the Geek of your choice. When the work is done your Geekatoo will invoice you and then you pay.
They currently use Amazon to process their payments which, if you have an Amazon account is very easily done. To be honest it is easy without an account but most people have saved info in Amazon that makes the checkout process a breeze. If you ever have a problem again you have the option on working with the same Geek or choosing a new one. Geekatoo never shares any of your personal information until you select a Geek. When they post your problem for Geeks to bid on all the Geeks see is “Client” not your information which is great.
What Does it Cost?
Geekatoo doesn’t cost you anything to use the service. You have to pay the Geeks for the work done and Geekatoo gets a small percentage of their pay. You accept the bid you want so the price is in your hands in a manner of speaking.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

This sounds like a great service, I will have to keep this in mind in case I need some tech support help.

This is great because dealing with the bigger named tech support usually involves many a run around before you get what you want fixed. This won’t require long trips, lots of confusing discussion and one of my least favorite things: remote accessibility. I also like that it’s more credible than trusting someone on a local network system, like Craig’s List.

This sounds very cool. I really like the idea that you are using a local person. I try to do that as much as I can. I will have to keep this in mind in case I need tech support.
