Wow can you believe that Thanksgiving will be this week? It seems crazy. There are so many things that I wish has taken place prior to this week but that is something I can’t change.
My determination for this week is to be thankful each and every day. To be happy for the moments I have and to make the best of each and every day.
I am going to be cooking and working up a storm this week. However I am going to take the time every day to spend it with my family and I hope that you all have not only the best week ever but a truly blessed Thanksgiving.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Yes I started planning and bought my potatoes–russet and yams today. Lots to do and little time to do it but keeping a cheerful heart because it’s about giving thanks and not supposed to be about how much work it is!

This year my dad is having to do all of the shopping and cooking for the family. This will be the first time we will all be together for Thanksgiving since my mom died a few years ago. I am looking forward to that part, but seeing an empty chair at the table will be hard. I sincerely hope that you and your family have a wonderful day filled with good food and faith.

I feel like Thanksgiving came way to fast. I have got the bulk of my shopping done. I am having my whole family to my house this year. So it will be a whirlwind of cleaning and cooking this week also. I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you enjoy your family time.

My mom takes care of most of this. I usually bring bread rolls and appetizers. I take on Christmas at my place. But this year we may do Thanksgiving at my place too.. my boys ar sick and might be best to be home.

Wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving, I’m sad that my sister moved away, she now lives in Maine, it will be different not having her with us, hopefully we can spend Christmas together

We have really simplified Thanksgiving in recent years. My mom used to do a huge spread with a turkey and a ham and about 10 sides and desserts for days. It was always stressful. Keeping it simple reduces the stress and makes it much more enjoyable. The only problem is that I’m getting sick – ugh.

Posts are sparse so I’ll comment again on this one. I was able to get some good deals on food after the holidays so I actually cooked a little more yesterday to get my food stocked up for the week. I didn’t buy a thing on Cyber Monday so starting the week with more food and money and feel blessed.
