I have a brother who is so hard to buy for. If you ask him what he wants he will tell you nothing or it doesn’t matter. I HATE when he does that, I want to know what he wants or needs. Not to have to play some stupid guessing game about what to get him for Christmas. The one that I know most of the time is that he hunts. I mean he goes out in the freezing cold, sits in a tree stand, and waits for the deer. I have no words about that. I don’t have a problem with hunting but I tend to be a bit citified in my country girl ways.
So I have a theme but then I am left attempting to figure out that item would be the best for him. So I put together a small list of gifts that a hunter may enjoy. I hope that this little list helps someone out there.
Crossbow
I thought this would be the best possible gift ever! I went in search of one and found one that I liked at https://www.tenpointcrossbows.com but not knowing which one to get left me a little lost. So if you think a crossbow is the way to (and it could be) make sure you do a little research so you get the one your hunter is wanting.
Scent Eliminator
I didn’t know this was a thing! My sister in-law told me this was something I could get to go in my brother’s socking. I have it on my list for when I go shopping later this week. If you have an avid hunter consider getting them a whole box of this. I saw a box when I was researching but I’m not getting him that. It seems more like a stocking stuffer to me. Plus I suck at filling his stocking and that is my job this year!
Tactical Knife
I am a firm believer in having a tactical knife. It is a gift that isn’t always super expensive although it can be. For hunters a tactical knife is the perfect gift. They can use it cut tree limbs or even to prep their kill.
Handheld GPS
If you ever went into the woods with me you would know why this was on my list. After all I got tricked into snipe hunting once. For those of you who don’t know what that is let me enlighten you. You take some unsuspecting person into the woods and leave them with a bag or whatever to catch the elusive “snipe”. All I have to say is that it took me fifteen minutes to walk into the woods. An hour to realize I had been had and two hours to find my way out. I got myself turned around. Now I never go into the woods without gps.
Gift Card
If your hunter has a store they shop at for their hunting gear then consider a gift card. My brother shops wherever but if he did have a favorite store I would get him a gift card. That way he can get what he wants and needs.
A few gift ideas for the hunter in your life.

Did I show this list to my brother? Yes, I did and he told me he already had most of the items on there. Whatever! After all the food pics from my other brother and the craving for bbq maybe I will just get this brother a Dickeys franchise and he can feed me for free. ?

I’m laughing because I have people so hard to buy for also. Your brother sounds like how my Daddy was. If he needed anything or wanted it he went and bought it. He had everything he wanted for hunting and a lot of the hunting gadgets, he didn’t care for. And being in the woods is so easy to get turned around especially if, like me, you have no sense of direction.
