I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love food—everything from the ingredients to the kitchen gadgets that help make it all come together. I’ll admit, though, washing dishes is not on that list. If there’s a way to get out of it, I’ll find it—and most nights, I do!
Today, I thought I’d share one of my go-to recipes: simple, delicious guacamole. I know what you’re thinking—how hard can guacamole be to make? And you’re right—it’s not difficult. But believe it or not, there are still folks who aren’t quite sure how to whip it up from scratch.
My sister-in-law is one of those people who loves guacamole so much, she could eat it every single day. So whenever she comes to visit, I make sure I have this quick recipe on hand. It’s easy, fresh, and always a crowd-pleaser. Ready for it?
Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 avocados
- 1 tomato chopped (you can cut up several cherry tomatoes for a better flavor)
- 1 onion finely chopped (I use a small one)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Peel and mash avocados in a medium serving bowl.
- Stir in onion, garlic, tomato, lime juice, salt and pepper.
- Season with remaining lime juice and salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill for half an hour in order to blend flavors.

Yum! One of my favorite foods and this recipe sounds great!
