Happy 100th Birthday Morton Salt Girl

Sep 29, 2014 | Rita

Disclosure: I received free Morton Salt products in order to host our Happy 100th Birthday Morton Salt Girl MommyParty.  However all  opinions expressed here are 100%  my own.

Morton Girl Party
Did you know that  Morton Salt girl turned 100 years old this year? It does and chances are if you are like me the Morton Salt girl has been present  in your home all of your life.  To celebrate this amazing milestone 100 parties were held in 100 different cities and we got to have one!! I know, can you believe it? I was suppose excited because I  will take any excuse to have a party. Did you know that  Morton isn’t just table salt? They also have  pool salts, ice melts, Epsom salts, and more.

Trying to decide the theme of our party was a difficult. I throw a number of parties where food is usually the theme and I thought a fun spa party would be different and fun. I even have a salt scrub recipe that I was dying to try out. My feet always look awful and having this to try was fun not to mention the awesome Morton Epsom Salts! We set up foot soaking pans and took the time to do out nails (toe nails that is!)

Morton Salt Scrub

Morton Salt Scrub

Ingredients:

1/2 Morton Coarse Kosher Salt

1 tsp Honey

3 T Olive oil

Steps:

  1. Combine the Morton Coarse Kosher  salt, honey, and olive oil mixing thoroughly
  2. Scrub mixture onto the heels or other calloused parts of your feet to slough away any dead skin that might be hanging out there and to increase circulation
  3. Rinse the scrub and massage your feet and legs with the moisturizer of your choice

Treats

We also enjoyed some sweet M&M treats as well as a few other items. All in all the day was super fun and we loved celebrating the Morton Girl’s birthday and look forward to another 100 years together!

I just love salt period! This sounds like a good party! I love salty snacks, and would feel pretty deprived if I had to do without it!
