Did you know that most pediatricians recommend adult dandruff shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis? Most parents know this as cradle cap, that red, and scaly stuff your baby’s head. I didn’t know that either and was so thrilled to learn that Dr. Eddie, a practicing pediatrician decided it was time to make a shampoo that would treat the condition but was designed for baby’s sensitive skin.
So, in 2014 that is what he set out to do and thus created the Happy Cappy brand. It is a brand that I am so thrilled to share with all of y’all. I know that it is one that you will enjoy as much as we have. The shampoo and moisturizing cream we tried really made a huge difference.
The Happy Cappy Medicated Baby Shampoo for Seborrheic Dermatitis was a little different. I have used medicated shampoo in the past with mixed results. This one was different. first it didn’t smell like medicated shampoo at all. Second, it worked. It is made with a FDA approved active ingredient, pyrithione zinc. That has been proven safe and effective for many decades for relief of dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. I used it a few times on my own hair and it worked just as well as the adult dandruff shampoo.
The Happy Cappy Moisturizing Cream for Eczema was a huge hit here! Maggie has eczema and we have tried so many different items. This cream was not greasy and went on so well. It is great for sensitive skin and helped calm her eczema enough to stop the itching. We are swearing by this now and I will tell you I rubbed some into my own skin as well. I like to see how things feel and work before using it on the kids. It truthfully felt great going on and I didn’t feel like I had a cram on at all.

I have two granddaughters who have cradle cap , and I see my daughter always trying to clean it up. I think this product might be what she needs to help her babies skin.

Using olive oil or coconut oil on the scalp is how we’ve battled it. And, while that works, its messy with a wiggly little one, so I’d love to try this out.

My friend just had a baby and this product seems like something she could really use. She did say her baby had sensitive skin.

My daughter is still dealing with this and hasn’t found any products that have truly helped. It’s gotten somewhat better over time, but still hasn’t completely gone away. I’d like to help her get this problem gone for good!
