Today is the day that we Americans celebrate our Independence Day! People all over the country are spending time with their families and enjoying barbecues. There will be fireworks in many cities today once the sun goes down and where I live is no exception. We are spending the day simply enjoying a little quiet time. I am going to take the kids to the pool and then we will all watch the fireworks tonight.
I hope that each and everyone of you takes the time to spend with your family and enjoy the day. I hope that your entire weekend is as wonderful as you all are and I will see you back here on Monday bright eyed and bushy tailed. My hope also is that while you are celebrating you take a moment to be thankful for the men and women who made this freedom we enjoy possible. Not just the troops who keep it possible (although please don’t forget them) but our forefathers and mothers who gave their lives because they believed in something bigger than themselves. They believed that all men (and women) were created equal and that we should all have the right to be more.
How will you be spending your 4th of July?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I just love the picture you chose! Our family is always proud because my husband is a veteran – he served in Desert Storm.

We just stayed home. my son and his sons are allergic to anticipate bites, so we minimize how much time they spend in the grass.

I did get to spend this day with some family members and watch the fireworks and have a huge cookout 🙂 I just wish people who live in the USA would learn to celebrate their living everyday, They make a huge thing out of 4th of July, I know because I live here, But I try to celebrate it everyday for all those people who stand up and protect and make sure we do have what we have for our 4th and every day after……………..
