Happy Green Bee

Feb 27, 2012 | Rita

I have become one of those moms (aunts, friends, you that person) who tries very hard to give organic or sustainable gifts whenever possible. I wouldn’t want harmful chemicals or fabrics touching my own children so why would I give that to someone else? When I came across Happy Green Bee (don’t just love the name?) I was thrilled and knew I just had to work with them. Luckily they agreed! Happy Green Bee  has some of the cutest baby and toddler clothing I have seen lately and the best part is that all of their clothing is made with organic cotton.

Organic cotton is especially great for infants and children. Whereas pesticide and chemically-treated clothing traps heat and prevents the skin from absorbing adequate moisture—often causing rashes and eczema on sensitive skin—organic cotton is natural and breathable. Children with allergies particularly benefit, as organic cotton does not have the residual toxic residues that linger on conventional cotton. Even those without sensitive skin find organic cotton more comfortable and kid-friendly. The longer fibers stretch as children grow.

Happy Green Bee sent me one their Infant Gift Sets to review. I received the girl version but there is a version for boys as well. This is a GREAT gift set, not only can you give someone a cute little outfit for baby but also a tooth fairy tin and a little book. I really want to break it down and show you each and every part:

First up is the little tooth fairy tin. This is a truly unique gift. This is the perfect place to put all those little teeth as they come out or why not use it to save your baby’s first tooth? What parent wouldn’t want to save their baby’s first tooth? This little tin would also be great to put that little first lock of hair inside. You could put tape or ribbon around the edge to seal it up and have forever.

There is also a great little book that you can read to your little one. It is super cute and I love the rhymes.

Finally is the little outfit. The colors are so bright and fun. Any one would love to dress their little girl in the this. The fabric is so soft and feels so good I can only imagine how good it feels against a baby’s skin. With this gift set looking and feeling so wonderful I can only imagine how great the dresses look in person.
