I know that everyone is wanting to know more about my health. At this moment I am hoping to be able to go home with daily rehab. However, they are trying to decide if I can go home or if I should go to the rehabilitation center to stay for the next few weeks. Either way I have a battle on my hands.
For those who don’t know I had a simple procedure, a heart cath, which I know I have shared with y’all in the past. However, for some reason I had a stroke just after mine while in recovery. I was lucky in that I was still in the hospital when it happened. That meant I was admitted and moved from outpatient to ICU. I spent a few days not really being aware at least that is how it felt. I was able to recover my speech pretty quickly.
For those who have been with me for a while you already know that I have been having some loss of strength issues in my left side and they have been doing tests to figure out what was going on. I currently can’t move much on my left side at all. I am starting to get some movement in my fingers and toes. At least I hope that is what the tingling means.
I am no longer in ICU and doing daily rehab trying to get things working again. I don’t have the facial droop which I am thankful for. I have to use a wheelchair and I am going to admit my sister in-law has been the greatest.
First she is still helping me with work and all of this stuff. She helped me get dictation software set up so I can speak my posts and have them typed up. All she has to do is edit them because I do occasionally use the wrong word. I don’t know what I would have done without her.
Don’t worry about any work we are working together to ensure that things get done in a timely fashion. I will give her credit she is having to learn to do a lot of this on her own.
Thank you all!
Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please also be patient with us as I work towards healing and my poor sister in-law handles the things I just can’t. I am determined to be back to 100% as quickly as I possibly can. That being said, it will take me time. Some things can’t be rushed but I am fighting and pushing myself as hard as I can.

I was so glad to read this. You just need to keep up the rehab and I am so glad you have that great sister-in-law. I don’t know what I would do because I have no family. I am just glad that you are doing so much better. Keep us posted.
