Disclosure: This is part of a sponsored campaign with Mom It Forward and Filtrete Filters. I was provided filters in exchange for my opinion. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
How often do you change the filters in your home? We change ours once a month without fail. When I say we I mean I because it really is an easy task and one I don’t mind doing. Changing it helps keep all the allergens at bay which means I can breathe easier and I can’t tell you how much that is worth. Filtrete Filters, as I have learned, help maintain an efficient heating and cooling system.
If you have ever had to replace a system you know how important that it. We had to replace our system a few years ago after the tornado and it cost way more than I realized. So anything that keeps it working makes me happy. Back to the filters! You all know that I have allergies I talk about them from time to time. While outdoor allergies are bad it is the indoor ones that get me the most. Pet dander is a big one for me! Someone brings a cat over and I look like I have been punched in the face repeatedly. I just swell up like crazy.
Reducing these allergies is important to me. I make sure that once a week I pull out all of the furniture and vacuum. We clean the baseboards and the walls as well. Not to mention making sure that Sassy’s bed is clean and none of her hair is on anything. I know she is a dog but I don’t take any chances. Allergies stopped me from attending one of the most important events in my life and I vowed it would never happen again.
My mother is the one who told me that changing the air filters would help a lot. I use to buy the generic ones (seen in the picture) but I will not being doing that anymore. I have learned that they don’t always do the trick. As you can see though all I have to do is lift the old one out and place the new one in.
You can learn more about Filtrete Filters and check them out on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with all of their news.

I love easy tasks. I love clean air. I hate allergies. they seem to get worse and worse each year. my dog even seems to be sneezing more. this is an easy way to help ease the symptoms but can easily be forgotten.

I’m embarrassed to say I can’t remember when we changed our air filters. We really need to because the whole family is suffering terribly with allergies this season and we can use all the help we can get.

We have a set date on our calendar that we change the filters. It makes a world of difference to keep them changed when you have someone with allergies. My son suffers from really bad allergies and it is worth the expense to give him some relief to buy good quality filters. Filtrete Filters are the best.

I have severe allergies and dust is a big culprit. I have to make sure that we have the correct furnace filters in order to do the job correctly.

I am not sure if we have ever changed any of our filters and we have been in our house for 5 years. I will have to check with my husband this is one thing he takes care of. The Filtrete brand does sound like a great brand to go with.
