Healthy Cooking with AquaChef

Jul 26, 2013 | Rita

Healthy Cooking with AquaChefProductReview Disclosure

As you all know my uncle had a heart attack last week and there is a lot of goods e can’t have. I have working at cooking healthier meals and AquaChef has made that easy for me. AquaChef uses water to cook and if is amazing. Using it is simple, you fill it with water and preheat it. You put your food into these small bags, zip them up and then vacuum a the air out.

Healthy Cooking

A Sealer is provided for you. Once your AquaChef has preheated to the correct temperature you put your good bag into the provided basket, drop the basket in and your food cooks. We did pork chops the first night and these were so tender I could cut the. With a fork. I could not believe how super tender try we’re not how good for us they were. Clean up was a breeze. Pour the water out and wash the bags as tent are reusable. What more could you really ask for? I know how about an awesome cutting board?

Pork Chops

We also got the PerfectChop Stay-Clean Cutting Board to try out. I really like the size and that any water or juice easily flows into the bottom tray which can be emptied. Cleaning this was a breeze because like I said the water or juice just lows away and ends up underneath.  Through this baby into some soapy water and you are good to go. It is my go to cutting board now.

I would love to try to make marinated chicken breasts first. We eat chicken most of the time as it is affordable. But those chops look fantastic! Especially considering how thick they are. PS: Hope you uncle is doing much better.

I would probably try pork chops first, because I almost ALWAYS dry them out when I make them. I’ve heard good things about this style of cooking.

The first item I would cook would be shiitake mushrooms, marinated in liquid smoke, tamari, and brown sugar. Sous vide is a great way to infuse those flavors into more absorbent vegetables, fungi, etc…

The first item I would love to make is chicken breast. My biggest reason is because my family eats so much chicken and it is soooo dry. I would love have a moist chicken.
