Heelys Are Not Just For Kids

I cannot skate! Not even a little bit but when I got the chance to try out a pair of Heelys I thought it was time to give it a go. Heelys, fpr those of you aren ot familiar, are shoes that are skates for the most part. That is the most basic defintion. Your children will more than likel ygive you an even longer more complete definition but that is mine.  Heelys themselves decription their porducts a little better:

Who could ask for more? I couldn’t and I also thought this would be a great way to get outside more with my children.

TESTING Heelys:

 

When I got my pair I headed stright to the Heelys site to find out a few things such as how to skate. They have a lot of information for you that includes how-to videos. If you are unfamiliar with skating in general I would suggest checking out all of the information. No point in goign out there and hurting yourself. I received a  pair of Double Threat Heelys. I chose these because my son and I wear hte same shoe size and after I got done breaking my neck I thought I would let him have a go.  The first thing you have to do is lace your shoes and put the wheels on. I thought it wouldbe difficult but it was surprisingly easy to get the wheels into place. The wheels also came out when I needed them to fairly easily. Once laced up I put them on and began to skate! Just kidding I did more a drag my feet acroos the pavement for the first few minutes and then I began to get more confident and actually did manage to skate for a few seonds before I fell down. None of that is the Heelys fault, I am simply ungraceful and fall over the rug in my living room at the drop of a hat.

 

PROS of Heelys:

• Very easy to assemble and disassemble the wheels
• Great colors! You or your children could use thesea s both regualr shoes and skates.
• Great price!
• Very helpful website

CONS of Heelys:

• None, even as a beginner I enjoyed them and found them very easy to use
