My son got Heelys last year and I was a bit jealous as I wanted a pair for myself. Not that I am a great skater or anything, in fact I can barely keep myself upright but hey Mom wants to have fun as well. If you don’t know what Heelys are they are shoes with non-marking soles that have a place for wheels on the back of the shoe. You can choose to have the wheels in the shoes to skate around on a flat clean surface or, you can take the wheels out and cover the wheel wells with the covers.
I received a pair of Heely Override shoes from their fall collection which I found to be super stylish. I love the pink with the white and hey are super comfortable to wear. Putting the wheels in is very easy and I found that taking them back out was a breeze as well. The hard part for me was staying upright while attempting to skate. My children can do this very well but it is something I will need a lot more practice at. Heelyshas lots of great resources on their site on how to use the shoes and how to be safe about it. The best thing about Heelys is that there is a pair for every member of the family (except Fido of course!)
