His Dream House

I was talking to my brother while he was on his way home from work and we were discussing about the house he wants to build. It is a topic that we come back to from time to time. The problem with the house he wants to build is that the land he wants is pretty unstable.

It is rather woodsy and while I like the idea of that, building in there is going to give him a headache I’m certain of it. He wants to maintain the integrity of the land. I don’t know if that is even possible with some of the equipment that would need to be brought in.

He would certainly have to consider having some sort of plan and this website has a good list of things. He to be able to enjoy the words when everything is said and done. I am just not sure how that can happen. Of course I don’t know a whole lot about construction either. I’m sure there is a way to make it all happen. After all, I saw a huge swimming pool on top of a giant hotel once. I’m taking huge, both of them. That pool scared the bejesus out of me.

My best advice for him would be to start talking to contractor and builders and find out it is they could do for him. He already owns the land so he could have them come out and look at it. It would give him a better idea of what he needs. I know that he has his home roughly drawn out.

I know that because it drew the picture when he was in late teens. We were talking one day and he said his dream house was a pretty simple one. Then he sat down and drew it out. It was a beautiful hose as far as the layout goes. He doesn’t want anything elaborate. Like he said he didn’t need a million dollar home. Just one that his family was comfortable in.

He wants to live in the woods because he likes the seclusion of it all. The land isn’t that far out of town but you get the illusion that you live miles back in the woods in the middle of nowhere. It is genius if you think about it. He can be to his local mall in under twenty minutes but if you sit on what would be his back porch you’re surrounded by nature.

If he has to bring in a lot of equipment and have matting put down then he may also nee dot see about how to order mat washing. I know that is something that can be done because I saw it once on a television show. I was flipping through the channels and don’t remember everything that was going on.

Whatever he decides I can’t wait to see in person. He has been planning it for so long I am sure it will spectacular in its simplicity. We are all pretty simple and he did promise that when i am old and gray I can live with him if my kids won’t take me in.
