How many of you have used a white noise machine? How many of you used that machine for your baby or small child? Okay, I will admit that until recently I have never used one. Sam always has a hard time going to sleep plus I knew that James would be here so when AuCuTee agreed to work with me I was thrilled. I really wanted to give one of these machines a go. I know lots of people that swear by them but like I said I didn’t have an opinion on them one way or the other.
One of the things that I love about AuCuTee is their story of how they began. You can read the full story on their website but here is how it starts:
AuCuTee’s creation starts with a story. The founder, Allen, received a white noise machine from his friend. He was told that such a device could help in relaxation and bring about better sleep. Though Allen never had trouble sleeping, the machine had a deep impact despite its low quality sound and construction. When Allen looked for a more elegant and modern product with high quality natural sounds befitting of the 21st century, there was nothing to be had.
That is pretty much how I felt about white noise machines. I didn’t need one and had never used one. At first I wasn’t sure this was going to be for us.
The Smart Baby Soothing Sound Machine is rechargeable 6 in 1 sound machine. I put this in Sam’s room the first night and he was out like a light within minutes. I didn’t leave it on all night but every night that I turn this on he sleeps. I have tried to go a night without it and the whole house is up all night. One night recently I had the worst headache and thought I would give it a try. I couldn’t get my mind to clear. A few minutes on the rain setting and I drifted right off. It was like listening to rain on the roof.
The hanger allows you to hang the machine on baby’s stroller or on the crib rail. It is the perfect way to make sure that your little one doesn’t throw it into the floor. You know how much they like that. I hook it to Sam’s bed or mine when he sleeps in there.
Like I said I don’t leave it on all night so I can’t tell you how long the charge actually lasts. I simply charge it every couple of days to make sure it is topped off. It will stop automatically after 30 minutes, then goes into sleep mode. That is all the time that we typically need it for. When I check on the kids before I head to bed I just turn it all the way off.
FINAL THOUGHTS
This little device has been a life saver for us. It helps Sam sleep every night now and I admit to using it from time to time myself. If you have a small child or just need something that will help you shut your brain down at night I highly recommend a white noise machine from AuCuTee.

We use a sound machine! It is amazing the difference it has made in our sleep. As soon as we turn off the lights and turn on the machine, I feel myself relax. We now even use it when we travel.
