Holiday Gift Guide: BuddyPhones

Dec 19, 2019 | Rita

How many of the little ears on your gift list this year will be getting headphones? Have you heard of BuddyPhones? I hadn’t either until they sent me an email and let me tell you I am so thrilled that I learned more about them. BuddyPhones are volume safe headphones for kids. Why do kids need volume safe headphones? Well, as someone who listened to super loud music for years in the old headphones I can tell you they need them. There are certain sounds that I have a hard time hearing and the doctor has told me it is most likely from years of listening to music too loudly too close to my ears. It is a case of I knew I shouldn’t but the music sounded better. It’s call Noise Induced Hearing Loss.

BuddyPhones has all sorts of useful information about hearing loss that you should read. For example 1 in 8 kids have Noise Induced Hearing Loss from listening to ear buds too loudly. Can you believe that?

We received a pair of the BuddyPhones WAVE in green which is a monkey. There are plenty of other colors to choose from. The best part about the WAVE is they are wireless as well as waterproof. I can’t begin to tell you how much I love that.

You get the headphones, a soft travel bag, a micro-usb charger, and a BuddyCable audio sharing cord. It is everything you need to start using these headphones right away. I say I love the travel bag. I can put these into their bag, pack that into my bag and not have to dig for them when we get to the doctor’s office. Sam is happy listening to his music without having to wait while I hunt down his headphones. Things get lost in my bag all the time.

BuddyPhones are one item that every child should be given. I do care how hold, or how little they actually use them. Hearing is nothing to turn a blind eye to. We know they need to turn the volume down but most of the time we don’t do much about it.
