This holiday season why give the gift that will give throughout the year? That is what I am considering doing for my sister in-law. She is the big wine drinker in the family and I can provide her with a gift that will give her some wine all year-long. California Wine Club can help you do just that by allowing you to give a subscription to their Wine of the Month Club.
California Wine Club was opened in 1990 by husband and wife team Bruce & Pam Boring. Together they set out to enjoy California wine country’s wines. The problem was that many of these wines were only available in limited quantities and the delicious creations of these “Mom & Pop” wineries were not being enjoyed very far from the places they were created. Bruce and Pam set out to change all that by creating their Wine of the Month Club.
www.cawineclub.com offers four different clubs to choose from:
The Premier Club which is most popular club. You receive 2 award-winning bottles of wine each month along with the California Wine Club’s 12 page publication Uncorked, which offers stories about the wine families, tasting notes and more.
The Signature Series club is for the collectors, and connoisseurs. With this club you receive 2-4 bottles of high-end or rare wines. For the wine connoisseur, this club can be well worth joining and can save you some money.
International Selections offers wines from “Mom and Pop” wineries from countries such as France, Italy, Spain, etc. I think this is the one I would really want to give to my sister in-law.
Aged Cabernet Series offers two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon aged 8 to 12 years delivered monthly.
We sampled the Premier Club membership, which is as I said is the most popular club. For $49.95 per month, The California Wine Club will send you two bottles of award-winning wine each month. There are no membership fees and you can cancel whenever you want to without any penalties. All of which makes me very happy. As you can see we got a red and a white wine. Both were simply sublime and some the best wine I have tasted lately. I could not believe how quickly it arrived or how truly good it was. I expected it to be more like really cheap tasting wine because I have had that sort of experience with monthly clubs before. You know what I mean, the product just aren’t up to par. Not with cawineclub.com, I was happy and will gladly order subscriptions for my sister in-law and possibly one or two other people on my list this year.
I would suggest following California Wine Club on Facebook and Twitter so that you can keep up with everything. Not to mention to stay tune for next month because I am going to show you my two new wines I got plus I am hosting a giveaway for a $50 gift certificate!
This review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own. I received a 2 month Membership to the California Wine Club for the purpose of this review.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

This would be a great gift for me sister in law too- she likes wine and she is tough to buy for. I like doing gifts that go year round and this would be something she would enjoy. I might consider it.

While I do enjoy a glass of wine, I would not consider myself a connoisseur. I am not great with pairing wines and meals, but that doesn’t stop me from trying. I recently was sent a package and was delighted to find that it was a package that contained two bottles of wine! It was a great day!
