Many people find it hard to get kids to read but I have discovered that more and more kids are loving reading as long as they have things that interest them to read. Finding the perfect books for kids can be the hardest thing especially during the holidays when you never know what books other people are giving them. Cricket Magazine is the perfect alternative to books because it is something that kids will get throughout the year. You can order a digital or print subscription. Although I should tell you that Cricket does have books but it there magazines that I really love.
Right now you can browse through their holiday catalog and find the perfect magazine for all the kids on your shopping list. The best thing about giving a child a magazine subscription is that while they get something on the holiday they also get something extra all year-long. Not to mention if any of the kids on your list like some on mine getting mail really excites them. The digital subscriptions are great but I prefer to give children actual books and magazines because I want them to experience the joy of an actual book.
There are magazines for every age group. When I say every I mean every! There is Ladybug for ages 3-6 but then there is also Babybug for ages 0-3. How cool is that? Little kids especially love getting magazines in the mail and I love them because they encourage reading and love of the written word. One of the great things about Cricket Magazine is that you can check out samples of the magazines. They have interactive samples which allow you to thumb through and check out each magazine before you purchase.
WIN: Cricket Magazine is giving away a 1 year subscription to one lucky Rita Reviews reader.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
