I will admit that it has been a bit too cold to be grilling the last week or so but boy do I enjoy it. I’m not that great at and I really love a charcoal grill although my uncle swears by gas. I have hard time with the gas grill which is why I normally choose charcoal. I discovered the IG Grill during an internet search and was lucky enough that they agreed to work with me.
The IG Charcoal Grill is a state of the art modern grill if I ever saw one. While it looks simple in its design there is so much to it that you recognize the genius of it right away. You have a grill that will handle all of your grilling needed without a lot of the “extras” that you honestly don’t need.
The legs come off without any tool s and go into the body for those times when you need to travel with your grill. This is the perfect grill for tailgating or even large get togethers.
While the grill arrived pretty quickly but it took me a few days to get to it. That poor thing sat in my living room for four days because it was simply to yucky outside to get out there with it. There wasn’t much to it. All we had to do was put on the legs, wheels, and two shelves. Our box had a hole torn in it and we were missing a bolt for one of the shelves. I didn’t bother letting the company know because it was a common size that I actually had in my tool box. I mention that because I wanted you to know I didn’t have to go looking for something special. That’s important to a single mother who has her uncle on hand to help but not always.
That pan that pulls out in the picture is one of my favorite features. When you are done and everything has cooled, you pull out that pan and get rid of the ash. It makes cleaning everything so much easier. Although cleaning the inside of the grill is easy too. Everything is nice and open. Not to mention there is no bending down, this grill is right at arm level.
Don’t you love that grate? It comes off in two sections which is great. They can also come off to accommodate skewers for Kabobs and skewer type barbecues. How awesome is that?
The two shelves get you plenty of room to put the plate or your utensils while you are cooking. That handle thought that you can see in the picture? It raises the charcoals up and down. You can get them as close to or as far away from the meat as you need to. I had never seen that before in a charcoal grill.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The IG Grill was made for me! I have such a hard time most other ones that I am in love. I can’t wait for the family when they come in this weekend so I can see how well it handles a large crowd.
