Holiday Gift Guide Lindsay’s Olives

Holiday Gift Guide Lindsay's Olives

Many of you are getting your holiday spreads ready. What holiday party would be complete with olives? They are a perfect finger food or garnish! Well I had the chance to review a fabulous company that would be perfect for any holiday table..Lindsay Olives.

“In 1912, brothers Arthur and Henry Bell followed their dream and bought a small olive grove in the laid back farming community of Reedley, California. For the 18 years that followed, their sole focus was harvesting and selling olives to olive processors throughout central California. At the start of the Depression in 1930, they expanded into canning, distributing and marketing their own olives under the “Bell” brand name. Soon after, the imaginative Arthur would introduce the first of his many inventions—the “pitter-chopper.” This device removed pits and chopped olives at the same time, and was responsible for Bell’s new chopped olives—an industry first. In fact, these olives were considered a delicacy and featured as the “Islands” in Thousand Island salad dressing.  In the 1990’s, the company tripled sales through acquisitions and diversification. This expansion included the purchases of The Maywood Olive Company, Oberti Olive Company and the Lindsay Olive Company. Today, we sell and market domestic olives, imported olives, and olive-related specialty products under the Lindsay and Bell brand names. “

From the Lindsay Olive Website

Lindsay’s Olives have a very large variety of olives available. Including Recloseables, which are exactly what they sound like. They come in a little container like those microwaveable meals.  Not to mention the Naturals line and the Spanish Manzanilla. Edgar loves to take them for lunch when he is working.  While I am not a huge olive fan Edgar is as is most of my other family members. I use them in our holiday dishes, and Mexican dishes. I received an assortment of olives to review and let me say this… I wanted to save some and use them for my holiday table. Well they are all gone. That husband of mine ate every single one of them.

I also was lucky enough to receive one of these beautiful Handmade Olive Branch Holiday Wreaths. I wish this photo could express the beauty of this. The smell is so wonderful! The only thing I hated was that it dies eventually. I wanted it to make it all the way to Christmas. It’s hanging on but I don’t know if it will make through.

Another great thing about Lindsay Olives is that their website has recipes that you can use.

I love the idea of the reclosables! It’s nice because It’s rare that I would use a whole container and that keeps them nice and fresh. I am the olive fan in my family! My sone loves to eat black olives off of his fingers

Hands down Lindsay is the superior quality in olives. When I go to the store, if they don’t care Lindsay olives, I just won’t buy any. Unfortunately our small town doesn’t care the resealable. That would be awesome if they did because my daughter will open a fresh can and only eat half. She will stick the rest in the fridge. They get shrink and get all wrinkly and then my daughter just throws them out. This way it would keep them fresh.

Oh that olive branch wreath looks amazing, I can only image the wonderful scent it imparts.
