Does your child have trouble with Math? My son does sometimes and because he is home schooled there is no one to blame but myself for any trouble he is having. In my quest to find something to help him imporve his math skills I was thrilled when I received an email to review a game called Math Blaster. Math Blaster is designed by the samp people that brought you Jump Start. Knowledge Adventure, the company, has been setting th standard fr kids’ software for more than 15 years. They have created the finest educational products for use in both the home and the classroom. You are more than likely already familir with Knowledge Adventure and just don’t know it.
TESTING Math Blaster:
Math Blaster is designed for kids ages 6-12 years old. My son set up an avatar called a Blster and became the newest cadet at Blaster Academy. He had to complete arcade-style math challenges and raced through high speed mission in rder to become a member of hte Intergalactic Space Patrol. Once he became a member he then was able to explore a futuristic world, visit new planets, and discover alien rces. The entire time he is playing he is practicing his math skills. I did play a couple of the games and the Beaver Run game is easy at first but as you prgress to the different levels it gets much harder. I found myslef struggling. I had such a hard time in level 4 getting the fish and the rabbits to hit the targets. Daniel truly enjoys the game and is doing better at math. Hehad gone from a C average to a B. while the game is desgined for children up to ages 12 I think some older kids may benefit formit as well. I know that I did. It is a fun refresher in Math.
