Do you have an avid traveler on your gift list this year? My brother and I love to travel although we don’t get to do it as much as we would like. So when I discovered Moon Travel Guides I knew they were the gifts for him! I was so thrilled when they agreed to work with me. There were so many to choose from but when I saw one in particular I knew it would be the one!
Moon Travel Guides was founded in 1973 and one of the first advocates of independent travel. Moon authors have almost always lived and/or worked in the places they cover in order to keep the guides current. That is something I love. I have gotten guides before that ended up being out of date and couldn’t help me at all. I even ended up lost once because of an out of date map in a guide.
The Moon Route 66 Road Trip was the book that I knew my brother would love! He has always wanted to take a trip down the historic highway. This guide gives him all the information that he needs. This book has 37 easy-to-use maps that are easy-to-use and will give him site-to-site mileage as well as detailed directions for the entire route. There is information about the sights to see, where to eat, where to stay, and more. I can’t wait for him to open this on Christmas Day and I hope he takes me with him!
The Moon USA National Parks is a book that intrigued me. I didn’t realize there was that many. It covers all 59 parks and gives you information on hiking, sights to see, and so much more. There is even a place in the beginning of each park section to get your passport stamp. That is a park stamp that each park has. Something else I didn’t know about. I have added these parks to my bucket list. I want to see them all at some point in my life.
FINAL THOUGHTS
There are so many different books and guides from Moon Travel Guides. I want them all! I really need to win the lottery so I can travel all over the place. These will certainly make any travel enthusiasts on your list happy. If you don;t have one on your list I highly suggest you purchase these for yourself or even your child. There is so much information in them that you will all learn from.
