I love a good party. Well, I love any excuse to party and that is what we did over the weekend with Hormel Gatherings. Ma is a huge football fan, what I meant to say is that Ma only cares about the Georgia Bulldogs. She hates every other team, I don’t care if they are a college or professional team. Don’t get me started!
Over the weekend we decided to watch the Georgia Game (I know I couldn’t believe it either!) Okay, they watched, and I ate the food. That sounds more like me, right? The best part of the entire event was the food! I picked up a couple of HORMEL GATHERINGS® Party Trays from Walmart. If you are not familiar with them, they are meat and cheese trays.
ONE THING I LOVE
The one thing that I love about these trays is the price! I had had these trays prior to my experience with this campaign. We had purchased some to have when we were at the beach. They were a perfect snack while there. Meat and cheese trays tend to be on the expensive side. On top of them being so large. HORMEL GATHERINGS® Party Trays aren’t either of those. They are the perfect size, so you don’t have to worry about anything be thrown away. Plus, they are well under $20 a tray.
Since we were having our event on the Saturday right after Thanksgiving I knew there wasn’t going to be a ton of food served. We were still pretty full from our holiday meal. I got two Ham and Turkey HORMEL GATHERINGS® Party Trays and I will say I am glad that I got two. When I originally planned the day I thought one would be perfect. After all there was going to be leftovers. No one touch any of the leftovers! They all ate both trays though.
There was a red foam finger that suspiciously went missing at some point during the day. The kids enjoyed the foam fingers but I suspect that Ma enjoyed them more. The whole day was about her and I know that she doesn’t get that often. Most of the time she has to watch her games in her room because someone else is always wanting to watch something else in the living room. I am thrilled that I was able to set this up for her and make her happy at the same time.
My uncle had the best time making his plate. He started with putting the basic meat, cheese and crackers like you see above. The he told me to wait while he made his sandwich. I thought he was going to grab a couple of rolls or something and put it all on there.
Nope, he just stacking it all on top of one another. He really is just a big child sometimes! As you can tell we had the best time even if Ma speak most of it yelling at the television. To the point that she could barely talk the next day. Hey either way, it was a blast!

Hubz and I will be chilling at home for the Christmas holiday, and these party trays would be perfect. I don’t plan to do a whole lot of cooking–just a few things to make small plate snacks while we binge watch movies. But—so what did happen to the red foam finger??? 😀

I think you will love them. As for the red finger…..it is still MIA. I’m more than certain that Ma has that thing hid. She didn’t want anyone else to have it.

This is awesome! I always like “snacking” rather than sitting down to eat a big meal. (I actually kind of just graze during the day). And how can you beat the price? SUPER deal, looks delicious, worth loading up on!
