About the Movie:
Henry sets off an unexpected sets off a chain of event when he fails to hand in his homework, again. He forms an unlikely alliance with Moody Margaret, the infuriating girl next door, outwits corrupt School Inspectors, topples an evil Headmaster, wins a talent contest, and stands up to his ultimate nemesis. With each antic crazier than the last, Henry finds himself inexplicably trying to save the very school which he has always professed to hate.
My Thoughts:
We had never read any of the Horrid Henry books before but were very excited to watch the Horrid Henry Movie. Thanks to Childs Play PR we were given just that chance and got a little extra along with t to make movie night all the more special. The package we received include not only the movie, which came in a special slime case, but also a Horrid Henry book and a wind-up chattering teeth, a joy buzzer and a water balloon kit.
The movie takes place in England and the casting could not have been better. I just love Angelica Houston so seeing her as the teacher that Henry loves to torture made this more all the more appealing to me. Henry loves to get into trouble but still remains that lovable character, sort of like Dennis the Menace. There is no bad language in the movie at all but there is a lot of name calling which may be a bit much for overly sensitive children. Horrid Henry the movie was filled with fun and laughter which is something that kids of all ages will enjoy. Horrid Henry the movie will be available tomorrow at Walmart.
**Thanks to Childs Play for providing the movie, gadgets, and a $25 Walmart to help me facilitate my review. However all opinions about the movie are 100% all my own.**
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
