It’s time for another hot topic and this week’s topic is one that I have had to deal with recently. If you don’t already know I am a chunky girl. I have spent years dieting and trying my best to lose the weight but it always comes back. That doesn’t mean I am lazy. I am still active and do a lot of things.
Yet for some reason some people feel the need to make remarks. My favorite recently has been that if I put down the fork I wouldn’t be so heavy. Now normally I don’t pay the remarks any sort of attention but this came from some chick that I didn’t even know.
We happen to be siting at tables next to each other in a restaurant. All I thought was “What the heck!!” Okay there might have been a couple of colorful adjectives used or at the least thought. I couldn’t believe this woman said that to me. She didn’t know me or the reasons why I might be chunky. I simply ordered my food and enjoyed it. People can be mean sometimes. Most of the time I have no problem when people make these sort of comments but there was something in that chick’s tone that got to me.

Have you ever had someone say something inappropriate to you that just set you off?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Rude!!!!!! I’m not sure why people have such a hard time loving others where they are at. I struggle with anxiety and depression and lately I’ve felt like I have made huge progressive strides, only to be told I havent made any progress and anyone who tells me I have hasn’t spent enough time around me . It was so so rude.

That is rude! You know what strides you have made and as far I am concerned the rest of the world can kiss my grits. I am happy with where I am in my life. It has taken me a long time to get to this point. I have suffered depression, suicidal thoughts, and other issues. Now I am full of hope and optimism. The road has been long and an uphill battle but I came through all the better for it. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel that you haven’t accomplished something or that you are anything less than the wonderful, beautiful person that you are.

Wow that is unbelievable. Although I have had people make remarks of one kind or another of equivalent situations where people have made an instant judgment call, showing their ignorance, shallowness and incivility. I’m sorry this happened to you, and nobody deserves such comment. I think there are people out there who are just plain haters and miserable with themselves, so they say bad things to people. Many comments nowadays can get people arrested if it has to do with race, etc., so they pick on something they can’t get arrested for.

People are rude and so hurtful..I’ve been witnessed to this kind of nastiness and I tell you that I have put them in their place..people suck!

Oh geez, I’m sorry that happened to you. I would have been tempted to put down the fork, but with a lot of force and into her thigh. (No, not really, but it’s fun to imagine it.) Being larger than a size 6 does not mean you’re not healthy, or pretty, or nice, or worthy of some respect. You go, girl!

P.S. Don’t take this the wrong way, but you’ve got a funny typo in the title of this post (I used to be a proofreader so things like that catch my eye). It says “I’m Chucky” and I immediately got a picture of that evil movie doll. Ha!

People are nitwits. I mean we all have opinions, and youre entitles to them, but such comments are rude. You dont know what the person is struggling with. So youre chunky, no big deal, The person saying it had a rotten attitude, and an ugly soul. I aam glad I didnt hear something like that. I used to not fire back, now I am afraid I do.
