How many of you have ever used a hot water bottle? How many of you actually know what I am talking about? I had to ask because I had to explain what one was to my sister in-law when mine came in. I knew what they were because I can remember my Grandmother having one when I was growing up.

The Peter Pan Classic Hot Water Bottle is the perfect bottle if you have aches and pains that you need a heating pad device for. You don’t have to worry about any electricity or being near the outlet with a hot water bottle. With a hot water bottle you simply add in hot water and then lay it on the affected area.
I needed something that I could put behind my back in my desk chair or even on the floor for my feet. For two simple reasons, the first is my back kills me when Aunt Flo decides to bring every piece of luggage she owns, it seems, when she visits monthly (I know TMI) and because my poor feet are always cold. As the weather changes it gets worst. So when I am working I like to keep them as warm as possible. the cover that goes over the bottle has a pocket that allows me to slip my feet inside and get warm without burning them. Let me tell you that a hot water bottle can get super hot if you aren’t careful.
The cover is warm and fuzzy yet allows the heat to come through. When I use it on my back I don’t have to worry about it being too hot. I should say that I don’t lay against this. I just place it behind my back.
As you can see the zippered side allows you to put the hot water bottle in or pull I out. I have a heating pad thing that goes int eh microwave that I have used inside this cover as well. It really hold the heats and allows me to use the bottle or whatever much longer than if I didn’t have one.
The hot water bottle is pretty standard. You fold it in had to get in in the cover and then fill it while it is inside. The manufacture claims it is made from non-toxic materials so it meets American health standards. That’s important to me since I have a sick child in the house. I have to be super carry now about everything we have in our home.
The top is more than large enough to easily pour water in. I haven’t spilled any yet and let me tell you that it a feat in and of itself. I spill everything I touch it seems. The plug holds well and I can open it with one hand. Now this does hold hot water (boiling hot) so it shouldn’t really be used around children.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I remember hot water bottles! I haven’t seen one in ages and used to have them for when I had infected ears as a kid 🙁 it was soothing to have the heat and helped heal the infection quicker as well along with meds. So glad they still make them, I will have to see about getting one to have on hand.

I’ve always wanted to try one of these. I get aches and pains everywhere, and this might help.

I need to get a hot water bottle. I have several of the microwaveable hot packs filled with corn and other items. They just don’t stay as warm for as long as an old fashioned water bottle.
