There comes a time when one can no longer wear a particular T-shirt due to miscellaneous reasons- it started to wear-out as T-shirts too have an expiration date; got tired or bored of it; ones preferences changed; the size changed, it stretched or one lost weight. For whatever the grounds for the discontent might be, at instances likes these one should consider transforming their shirts instead of chucking them away. Customizing T-shirts grants one with the added benefit to be their own designer which allows them to personalize it to their preference. By modifying a T-shirt one can give an old crummy shirt a chic touch, making it unique and original, something that will surely get it noticed by the crowd. In addition, one would also get to bask in the certainty that no one else could possibly be sporting the same look. Tailoring it to one’s predilection would also accentuate their individuality. One could either customize the T-shirt cohesive with their mood or perhaps opt for something that would be coherent with one’s personality.

Get inexpensive plain T-shirts

Simply customize old shirts or invest in a bunch of new low-priced T-shirts. If budget allows and if one is up for purchasing new ones, try finding an online service that offers discounts or perhaps buy some from a knockoff sale.

When customizing it at home

Modify a humdrum T-shirt into something more fun and trendy. There are plenty of options one could utilize when customizing it at home. Firstly one could use bleach on a coloured T-shirt which will create a faded effect, and can be used to jot down quotes or draw some artsy stuff. Secondly consider opting to accessorize a T-shirt by adding in laces, fake-stones, fabrics, iron-on motifs or diamantes. Thirdly for a completely drastic change, redesign the look of the shirt by altering the neck, the sleeve, the hem or the back. The options are endless. For example cut a slit on the side of the sleeves , then create holes on both sides of the opening and then tie it up using shoelaces, or consider adding new sleeves made out of net; one could even shape out the neck and hem differently, perhaps asymmetrically or as one wishes to.

If using online service

Online stores are a great source of finding affordable T Shirts now a day considering that there are so many providers of cheap t shirts in form of small online brands and businesses. Employing an online service, limits ones option to only being able to print an image on a T-shirt. One can use their personal artwork by either designing it online or use a sketched version, which they can upload, after scanning it. One can also choose to use whatever images the online company might be offering. Another option would be to simply get some images off the internet and get those printed instead. Additionally a photo or some quotes could be printed on the T-shirt instead. Moreover, after receiving the shirt one can always customize it further at home if one pleases.

I have had T-shirts designed in the past, and I really liked it. I would buy a T-shirt and have the words and other designs put on them. I need to take some of my T-shirts and have them done! Thanks for tips!

I love having t-shirts customized. I am big animal lover, so I tend to have most shirts made with some sort of way showing that.

My dad does screen printing as a side business and built a lot of the necessary equipment by hand. It’s been a successful business for him, as an extra source of income.
