Can you feel great all the time? No, but we think that we could all feel our best more often than we do. With the world more chaotic than ever before (or so it seems), many of us have accepted that we have to live a mundane existence, one that only offers the occasional pocket of joy. While that’ll certainly be the case if you live life on autopilot, if you take control of your life, then you’ll find that you can feel great not only more regularly, but every day.
It sounds like a pipedream, but it’s not really. Indeed, follow the five steps that we outline below, and you’ll very likely feel fantastic within a few weeks.
Improve Your Sleep
Sleep is the foundation of a good day. After all, you probably know just how grouchy you are when you’ve slept poorly. On the other hand, if you’re extremely well-rested, then you’ll wake up in a positive mood, ready to tackle the day. If you don’t sleep as well as you’d like to, then look at making some changes. Improving your pre-sleep routine, investing in a new mattress, and eliminating any disturbances can all help you to get a full night of sleep, every single night.
Move Your Body
You might like the thought of sitting on the couch all day, but the truth is that, in order to be at your best, you need to move your body. Exercise helps to produce those feel-good chemicals in your brain which make you happy. You don’t necessarily need to join a gym to work up a sweat. You could invest in some home pilates equipment, for instance, or buy some jogging equipment and go for a long run each day. Trust us when we say that you’ll feel great once you’ve finished your exercise — and especially if you take a cold shower afterwards.
Spend Time With Friends
We don’t know why, but humans crave connection. We’re a social species, after all! If you’re looking for a surefire way to feel great, then commit to spending more time with your friends and family. You can even make new connections, no matter how old you are. To make a positive impact, look at volunteering, which has been shown to make people happier.
Cut Out Bad Habits
This is arguably the biggest tip on this list. It’s not just what you do that counts, but what you don’t do. We all have bad habits, but that doesn’t mean we have to keep them in our lives. Let’s say, for example, that you’re beginning to feel bad when you drink alcohol. How do you think your life would improve if you gave alcohol up? The first few days might be weird, but in a few weeks, you’ll have a new level of awesomeness. The same can be said for smoking cigarettes, spending too much time on the internet, or eating fast food. Whatever it is, work on saying goodbye for good. You won’t regret it!

At this stage in my life, I have finally found peace with myself. I went from a sleep late and work late hours, to getting up early and asleep by 8:00pm. The most peace I found was when I quit trying to please others and dropped the user supposedly friends out of my life. Some family members were also included in that dump pile.
