If you have ever had that pit of the stomach dread, that chill that moves up your spine because of the situation around you, or that feeling of stress that you can’t get rid of, then you might be dealing with feelings of anxiety. The cold sweat, the feelings of doom and the anxious and overwhelming thoughts can really get under your skin, and yet you don’t have to live with that level of worry.
Anxiety is something that happens to most of us at some point in life, and if it’s happening to you, then you need to think about how you can get through it. Some people choose hiking in the mountains to burn off the adrenaline and will feel good for it. Others choose Delta 8 softgels to head off that feeling before it happens, but how you get through it will determine a great deal about you and your ability to continue on with your life. You need to figure out a way to get through those anxious thoughts and feelings to be able to function properly day to day. Below, we’ve got some tips to help you to do it.
- Figure out the triggers. You can instantly work on your anxious thoughts when you know what the triggers are. When you know what your anxious triggers may be, you’ll be able to head them off at the pass. Recognizing what your triggers are will help you to control the anxious thoughts. Keeping a diary will help you to figure out what your feelings are when they occur and you can identify them and then work through them.
- Challenge the thinking. When negative thoughts occur, you might know that they are irrational. You can’t tell the future, so the ‘something bad will happen’ thinking won’t help you. Identifying the specific thoughts will help you to challenge them and then push through these thoughts. Challenging yourself may feel foreign sometimes, but it’s going to be a difficult process if you are trying to go through your thinking and make it feel better again.
- Practice things that you’re afraid of. Identifying some of the situations that bother you and practicing those things that make you fearful is important. Visualizing the scary things will help you to be able to work through them, and then you can gradually practice the things that you fear the most. Generally, your fears are not the reality and facing those will help you to get through those fears with ease.
- Be willing to feel it. Often, those who feel anxious run away from it rather than face it. You can’t get past your anxiety if you’re not willing to face it and more through it. You need to be willing to feel it in order to move through it, and that matters a great deal.
- Accept the uncertainty. It takes time to move through anxiety but you have to be willing to accept it as you feel it. It takes time to make progress with getting rid of anxiety.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
