Do you love shopping, but you don’t always love spending money? The act of shopping can be a lot of fun, even if you don’t buy anything in the end, but watching money leave your bank account isn’t so exciting. But what if you could shop while earning or saving money at the same time? You’re unlikely to become rich doing it, but it can give you a bonus when you’re already spending money that you were going to spend. Every time you need to replace an appliance at home, get groceries or buy new clothes, you can make up for what you’re spending by earning some money back.
Buy Things to Sell
If you love to shop but you don’t necessarily feel the need to keep everything you buy, you could consider buying things to sell on. This could be an especially good idea for anyone who buys things and later finds that they never even used them. Of course, you would ideally make a profit or at least break even on what you sell. That means that you have to be smart about what you buy and think about what will sell well and how you can price it for more than you paid.

Get Cashback on Your Purchases
When you shop, there are several ways to earn money back on your purchases. You can find both websites and apps that offer rewards and cashback as you shop. Obviously, you shouldn’t go out of your way to spend using these programs just to get money back. But if you’re buying something anyway, you can earn while doing so. With Checkout Saver, you can even earn Bitcoin as you shop. Some programs let you collect points to redeem while others might give you an instant amount of cashback. It’s a good way to save money on your purchases.
Choose the Right Credit Card
Credit cards often give you reward points too. If you choose the right card, you can collect points as you shop and later redeem them. This might be a good choice for you if you use your credit card for everyday purchases and pay off the balance at the end of the month. You’re already using a credit card responsibly, so why not swap to a card that offers you rewards at the same time? Some cards specifically earn you airline miles or reward points for specific brands, such as hotel chains.

Share Your Receipts
You also have the option of sharing your purchases on some apps, such as Receipt Hog. These apps work by using your receipts for market research, and you get points in return for sharing them. You just have to snap a picture of your receipt when you go shopping and you’ll get virtual coins or points that you can swap for cash via PayPal or use to buy gift cards or prepaid cards.
As you spend money, you could be earning money too, which can result in some great savings and sometimes even a profit.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
