Brush Two Or Three Times A Day
When it comes to brushing, you want to brush at least two or at best, three times a day. It can be difficult to brush your teeth three times a day when you’re commuting into an office environment but it’s something that can still be done. The idea is that you should be brushing after every meal because even though you think your mouth is empty, there’s still a lot of food and bacteria that are in your mouth, on your teeth, gums, and tongue.
Try to remind yourself to brush after your lunch and if not, make sure that you don’t go without brushing your teeth in the morning and brushing your teeth before going to bed. Use Floss & Mouthwash
Keeping your teeth white is only possible when you pamper your teeth. And when it comes to pampering, floss and mouthwash are the products you should be using every day. Consider your toothbrush as the starter, your floss as the main course, and then mouthwash as the dessert. Your toothbrush is going to remove the majority of the food on your teeth. However, the floss is going to get into those places between your teeth where the toothbrush couldn’t.
The mouthwash disinfects your mouth, making sure to rid it of any bacteria and therefore avoiding smelly breath or other oral problems.
Avoid Coffee
Coffee is something you want to avoid when trying to keep your teeth white. The problem with coffee is that it can stain your teeth over time, especially if you’re drinking a lot of it and perhaps not doing anything to keep your teeth clean in between the cups of coffee you drink throughout the day.
Try to cut down your intake and opt for chewing sugar-free gum after the coffee so that you’re doing your best to remove any of the residue that’s left behind on your teeth.
Regular Trips To The Dentist
And finally, the best thing that you can do for your teeth is to get them seen to by a dentist as often as possible. Regular trips to the dentist are a must when it comes to the health of your teeth and when it’s needed, there are cosmetic options like teeth whitening to help with removing stains and regaining that white sheen. It’s always good to get check-ups because the health of your teeth is just as important as their appearance. Gain your confidence back and get a healthy smile with the dentist in Coconut Grove.

Great tips. Also, remember to use only a soft toothbrush. Anything harder (even a medium) will in time remove some of the enamel, and the darker colored dentin underneath will show through. So many people, in an effort to whiten their teeth, scrub so hard, and use toothpaste that is too abrasive. In trying to whiten their teeth, it has the opposite effect. PS – dental hygienist here.
