Your bedroom is a safe space. It’s where you go when you feel exhausted with life. You also spend hours in it at night since you have to sleep. Therefore, it should look amazing. Otherwise, you won’t feel comfortable sleeping. The problem is when you’re too busy, you can’t maintain the place. Here are some tips to keep your bedroom tidy even if you have a lot on your plate.
Fix your bed before leaving in the morning
Make it a habit to maintain your bed even if you’re in a hurry for work. It only takes a few minutes to tidy things up. In doing so, you won’t go back home to a messy bedroom after work. By then, you already feel exhausted. It also helps to pick up pieces of trash or return the magazines on the shelves. These simple chores can help maintain your bedroom.
Place your used clothes on a laundry basket
Don’t make it a habit to throw your clothes anywhere in the bedroom once you arrive from work. You might be too lazy to pick them up. Before you know it, your clothes are already all over the place. Instead, buy a laundry basket and place the used clothes there. If you only have time to do the laundry once a week, it’s understandable. As long as you get the chore done, you’re good.
Improve your closet
Another reason your bedroom looks messy is that your closet isn’t sufficient for all the clothes you own. You might need to expand it, and a fitted bedroom would work for you. This furniture can keep all the clothes and accessories. You can also determine the details, including the number of panels and shelves. You will keep things in order with a good closet. You can’t see the mess on the surface. When you have time, you can reorganise your wardrobe.
Invest in cleaning equipment
You can use an automatic floor cleaner if you have no time to sweep and mop the floor. The equipment will do the job. It can also be as clean as when you do everything manually. You might have to spend on it, but it will get the job done for you. It’s the right choice for people always on the go.
Make sure the bedroom serves its purpose
Your bedroom is only for sleeping and resting. You can’t do anything else in your bedroom. Don’t turn it into your home office, or it will get messy. You also can’t use it as your mini-theatre where you eat while watching movies. There will be food crumbs all over the place. It’s your relaxing space, and you can’t let anything change it. If you only go there to sleep and rest, you won’t need to spend too much time cleaning it. Everything will be in order.
The point is that being busy isn’t an excuse for having a messy bedroom. You can always keep everything in order no matter how busy you may be.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
