Hubert Herring Sheep Leather Gloves
We received a pair of Hubert Herring Sheep Leather Gloves that I know my uncle is going to love. While a mouthful when saying it, the Hubert Herringbone Sheep Leather Gloves, are a timeless pair of gloves. They are what I would imagine the “proper” men wore years ago. Now, they will keep my uncle’s hands warm when we go to town or he goes to the doctor. The wool is a high-quality blend and in a herringbone pattern that will work well with any winter coat.
The hands of these gloves are made of sheep leather that is butter soft. It is one of the softest leather I have had the pleasure of feeling in a while. As you can tell in the picture the stitching is perfect and they are well made. I like that the palm side is made of leather as that is the side that tends to wear out much quicker. The leather will ensure my uncle gets much more use from the gloves.
The lining is made of fleece which means all of his finger will be kept warm and toasty. In my opinion there is nothing worst than wearing a pair of gloves that don’t keep your finger warm. I have a pair like that and I swear all I ever want to do is throw them out. I have no idea why I haven’t yet. I might as well not be wearing them when I do. These are not like those at all!
Finally, you have this great little press-stud closure and adjustable strap to help give you the best fit. You don’t have to pull it tight, it is possible to have them looser and just slide your hands in an out. Tightening and snapping the strap just gives you a cleaner, more put together look.
These gloves were a surprise. While I had expected them to be nice I didn’t expect this nice. I figured to get this sort of elegance you would have to spent $200 or more. So to get it for well under $100 makes me giddy. I like expensive things as much as the nest person but I know that some thing things you just don’t wan to spend an lot of money on and gloves tend to be one of those things for me.
