Iesodo Joy DVD Review

Nov 25, 2014 | Rita

Joy
My little ones love all of the Iesodo cartoons that we have checked out in the past so that is why I was more than thrilled when we asked to review Iesodo Joy. It is one of those movies that I always feel honored as a blogger to be asked to check out.

SYNOPSIS

Iesodo (Yay-Sa-Doe) is a wise white dove whose name means “The Way of Jesus.” He and his feathered friends bring your favorite New Testament stories to life in a whole new way including this special re-imagining of the Nativity story. Let your heart take flight and tweet along to holiday carols and all-new songs! Festivities are in full swing as the flock prepares to celebrate  Iesodo’s birthday! The Cypress Tree is decked out with holly berries and excitement is in the air. Everyone gathers as Rocky shares the incredible story of Iesodo’s birth.

esodo  is a highly acclaimed Telly and Accolade Award winning series featuring a cast of animated birds who live in a Cypress Tree on the shores of Galilee. Sound familiar yet? Presented with cutting edge imagery, Iesodo, which means “The way of Jesus”, is a wise and gentle dove that shares Jesus’ tales and biblical teachings, in a very accessible, entertaining way for children.

Iesodo

My Review

The twins just loved this DVD. This is simply the best retelling of the nativity story for any children. There is an included Christmas Sing along that we watched as well and they were dancing in their seats during it. We watch a lot of Christmas movies this time of the year and I love that while there are plenty of movies designed for children and they are good this one really shares with the kids (and teaches them) what the season is truly about. They learn the story of Jesus’ birth in a way they understand and as a parent I couldn’t ask for more.

Purchase:

Each DVD runs about 50 minutes, and retails for only $14.99! The videos are available online via Amazon, or at your local Christian retail stores or Walmart stores. Also be sure that you check out the activities page on the Iesodo website for some great DVD related activities. Not to mention follow the series on Facebook and Twitter.

I have not heard of Iesodo Joy before. It’s a cartoon series? I’ll have to check it out on Amazon. We have a prime account and I love when I can find quality programming for the kids to watch.

You have mentioned the Iesodo cartoons before and each time they sound better and better. I have got to check them out. I would love for my kids to see this story. Sometimes I think we get wrapped up in all the shopping and gifts that we forget to remember the reason for it all. Thanks for the review.

I want to check into this – it is a cute way to get a Christian message across – kids never seem to tire of watching movies at the holidays – this is a series that really sounds worth it!!!
