It is time for the In everything Give Thanks Giveaway Hop brought to you by our wonder host MamatheFox. This is the third year that Rita Reviews has participated in this particular hop and I always enjoy these.

This one is all about giving thanks and I will tell you that we have so much to be thankful for this year. I know it doesn’t seem like we do but we do. I am so thankful for my family and everything that the Lord has blessed us with. I don’t know about y’all but the next week and a half is going to be busy for me as I get ready for Thanksgiving.

I have shopping to do, baking to get done, and the house to get cleaned. As well as the yard. Not ot mention school with the kids and my daily regular workload. It will mean some long days. Long days that mean I will fall into bed give out at night. I do have a plan to take a little time the day before Thanksgiving for myself. It is the day I have to a little bit of shopping and plan to stop in at the local coffee shop and treat myself to a nice cup of tea. I may even splurge and have a latte. I don’t drink coffee that much anymore but I may then.

  1. This year is different than in the past. I think at this time it is just going to be my husband and myself. I would like to have my mother with us but she is of the age where we need to be careful so perhaps just she and my brother who helps her will be together.

  5. Thanksgiving this year is mainly just going to be our immediate family (and then some). It’s not going to be as big of a…feast…but I will still look forward to eating the food!

  6. I’m in Canada where we celebrated in October. We had a quiet Thanksgiving just with our immediate family. No gatherings this year due to Covid.

  8. In normal times we have a large family dinner with multiple families and friends. This year we will be staying home and celebrating with just our immediate household.

  13. We usually just do a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing and veggies but we may just go non-traditional and have pizza.

  15. Not sure what we are eating this year we are keeping it super small though. I do love turkey and stuffing so I will have to make a small one.

  17. I live in Canada so we already had our Thanksgiving and it was quiet dinner with just immediate family.

  18. We are staying home this Thanksgiving due to the corona virus. I bought all the Thanksgiving food last week.

  19. We are in the middle of selling our house and moving to a new house this month, so I’m not even sure how or if I’ll be able to make anything for Thanksgiving. We usually go to my mom’s for dinner, so I might get ingredients to make a side dish over at her house.

  22. We have no plans on Thanksgiving because my mom will be celebrating my niece’s birthday in Colorado this year. Maybe next year we will get together as a family!

  26. We’ll stay home and cook….drop off dinner on the porch for a local relative, then come home and eat and video chat with friends over dessert.

  27. Thank you for the giveaway. I am currently staying with my family while my husband is working in Texas. We will be enjoying our first Thanksgiving meal as a family in several years. Unfortunately, my husband will not be able to spend Thanksgiving with us this year, but I am grateful that he will be here for Christmas.

  34. Since it’s my mom, hubby, and I, we’re doing nothing fancy but having a good spread with plenty of leftovers.

  37. I will be making my Banana Split cake the night before and getting ready for dinner with my little family, as usual, this year.

  42. Normally, my husband and I go out to eat, but this year it’s not possible, so I’ll try making dinner at home.

  43. We are going to my boyfriends’ mothers home for Thanksgiving and was told we didn’t need to bring anything. Actually surprised she wants to do it but we always bring home a lot of leftovers.

  44. Unfortunately both my husband and I work in healthcare and will be working that day. We may order something from a local restaurant.

  46. For the first time ever, we have canceled our family Thanksgiving. Hoping it will ensure we will all be around to celebrate together next year.

  47. We are having Thanksgiving at my sister-in-laws this year so we are making green bean casserole and mashed potatoes and bringing it over.

  50. I am actually ordering our Thanksgiving dinner from a local store. We have had it before and it was delicious.

  51. We are going to get a dinner delivered from a local restaurant. Its just two of us and not worth cooking a big meal.

  56. I don’t care for most Thanksgiving food, so no real prep for me. My mom and sister will make some food though.

  58. We are going to stay home this year…this is the first thanksgiving since I lost my brother so It will be a bit hard for our family.

  65. Because of Covid it will just be my husband and I. Will miss our 2 kids and their families. Have to play it safe!

  66. I have made a traditional menu list and bought most of the ingredients accept the more perishable items. We are planning to fix dinner for our immediate family only.

  68. We had Thanksgiving in October up here in Canada. We didn’t end up doing anything special for it this year. Happy Holidays!

  69. Thanksgiving this year is mainly just going to be our immediate family. I’m going to serve a turkey breast with some sides and pumpkin pie.

  71. A friend gave me a gift card to an upscale restaurant (pre-COVID). I’m using it to get curbside pickup of their Thanksgiving dinner.

  72. I usually prep for several days but this year there will only be five of us so I will probably do some cooking the day before and the day of.

  77. We’ll be at home. Nobody is traveling so we just agreed to have dinner together in a zoom meeting! 🙂

  82. I’ll be making my famous appetizers to share with my friend who is cooking a 13 pound turkey for just the 2 of us. Lots of leftovers.

  83. My hubby and I are eating alone this year, but we will be zooming with the kids and the grandbabies.

  85. We had a quiet Thanksgiving, and made a lot of calls. An elderly relative with Covid and in and out of the hospital and emergency room, and alone in a state on the other side of the country, I tried to keep company with via long distance.

  88. We had Thanksgiving at my Mom’s house she made everything and my moms friend came over to help with potatoes and such and overall it was a great thanksgiving dinner.

  89. My mom and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner this year. I was in charge of the potatoes. I made mashed sweet potatoes and regular mashed potatoes.

  90. Everyones Thanksgiving dinner was different this year we had a very small dinner it was about 8 of us

  93. I spent the day with my children and grandchildren and I didn’t have to cook. Best Thanksgiving I’ve had in a long time.

  94. Because of our lack of leadership in the white house right now I will not be able to have Thanksgiving with my family for the first time in my 60+ years.

  95. We are lucky because my in-laws usually hosts, so all I do is make is pumpkin pie to bring. This year, we stayed home and made a small and simple dinner.

  96. We stayed home we have since 3/13 and had a bbq because it was such a nice day outside. We called our loved ones on the phone to keep everyone safe.

  97. We stayed home and ate a meal with just immediate family, had video chats with some family both locally and out of state and I did some shopping online.

  101. Thanksgiving is it really celebrated in Australia ….but our family usually gets together for a BBQ andwe are thankful for that
