Inspire: All the Little Cracks

Feb 25, 2014 | Rita

I came across this the other day and I liked it. I have a lot of cracks but I am not broken, at least not yet. Who knows what life has in store for me but I know that I will keep gluing all the cracks back together and pushing through. IT is easier to say that than do it some days but that is how life is. Life has moments when we feel like we the glass is getting ready to shatter so of like in Jurassic Park 2.

You know the scene where Julianne Moore is on the glass that as it is cracking and she can see each and every crack? That is how life is at moments, how we deal with those moments is what is important. All it takes is lifting up your hand and reaching for the help that is readily available or we can try to get off the glass on our own and watch as it continues to crack and shatter beneath us. I know that there are times, for me, when I don’t bother to reach up because I think I can handle it all by myself. I don’t need anyone to help me with anything.

The truth is I can’t do it all by myself not in life or in work. That is something that I am working very hard on and getting better and better at day by day. For me it no longer matters if a few of my cracks shows (no pun intended or meant) they are all a part of who I am.

This is an awesome quote – I love it. I think we all have been through trials and tribulations that have left their marks (cracks). What a positive way to look at them!

That’s a good one. It’s amazing how many people and, specifically Christians, who are under the delusion that you can’t be a Christian and have ongoing issues. One of the things I really appreciate about the church I attend is they take to heart the idea that Jesus is the great physician and we come to him to be healed. Part of that healing includes attending a church at sees itself as the hospital, full of broken and wounded people.

I am so glad that you have a church like that. I agree with you! We are all broken and wounded but that doesn’t make us bad Christians. It makes us human.

I love Inspiration Tuesday! I love this quote! I think this is a great way of putting it about the Jurassic Park scene. I think it is great that you are learning it’s okay to ask for help. None of us can do it alone. I love seeing you get stronger and stronger everyday.

I need God daily to help me stay strong through the cracks. He most certainly is the glue that holds it all together for me.

I pray that God continues to be the glue that holds it all together for you.

It’s true, but sometimes it’s so hard to believe it.

It is hard, all we can do is take each day and each crack at a time
