I am so excited about this movie! Paramount Motion Pictures Interstellar in IMAX November 5th, everywhere November 7th is one of the few movies that we will be venturing out to the theater to watch. When you have four kids the theater tends to be one of the few places you go. The twins always end up screaming and I end up missing half the movie because everyone seems to have to go the bathroom. However my girlfriends and I are having a girls night without any kiddos so we can enjoy this movie. With a cast consisting of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin and Ellen Burstyn how can you go wrong?
Beyond the amazing cast I am excited about Interstellar because the storyline itself is so interesting:
With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.
However since I am excited about the movie I thought it would be a great time for a Craft Project for the kids. I let them make the sun! It is actually very easy.
- Take a round circle. A paper plate or a circle cut from construction paper.
- Put three good size dollops of red, yellow, and orange pull paint on the circle. Cover with plastic wrap
- Let the kids squish the paint together anyway they want to.
- Remove plastic wrap and move the circle onto a black piece of construction paper.
- Using toothpicks or cotton swabs paint the “rays” onto the edges of the circle.
- Let dry and you have a sun
As you can see the kids get to do crafts and mommy gets to go and watch a great movie! Sounds like a pretty great trade off if you ask me. Have you seen the trailer for Interstellar yet? I saw it a week or so ago and just knew it was one that I was going to go and see. You all know how few movies I get excited about so if I am then you know it must be good!
