As we get though Chapter 3 and into Chapter 4 we fund Esther being out in a difficult place. Because of a plot to rid himself of Mordecai, Haman has the king order all Jews put to death.
Esther is asked to go to the king and ask for his help. She is told that if she does not do this she will be put to death as well and that being queen will not save her.
However Esther is torn because the law says she cannot go to the king without being summoned for. The kings hasn’t summoned her in 30 days and to go to home could result in her death for disobeying the law.As a wife I can imagine Esther wanting to run to her husband but then as a woman I can understand her fear as well. Esther prays in the matter to find out what God wants her to do.
Have you ever been asked to so something that you were not sure you should do?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I think we have all been put in tough situations. what you need to do is follow your heart. What is morally right for you, is the answer. That is usually how I deal with difficult situations when I have been asked to do something I am not sure i should do.

Thankfully, I can’t think of too many times when I’ve been asked to do things I wasn’t comfortable with. The instances I can think of weren’t really so much morally questionable as just uncomfortable for me. Being asked to “pull strings” or call on contacts to help someone always makes me queasy. I just feel funny doing it.
