June Sips by Tea

Jun 21, 2018 | Rita

I am loving all the different teas I have been getting in my monthly Sips By boxes. Each month there is something new that fits me to a tea! See what I did there? I couldn’t help myself.

Just a reminder of costs: You get  4 different teas that will make 15 cups for only $15 a month. That’s half a month of tea if you only drink one cup a day. I drink a few cups every day and save these for my special cups.

Every month is your box you will get a card (like the one above) that tells you all about the teas in your box. This is helpful because it tells you how many times you can re-steep your tea, the temperature the water needs to be, and how long to steep it for. If you weren’t aware all of that is very important to get the most out of your tea.

EVERYDAY SENCHA SIPS BY YANNOKO TEA

Sencha is 80% of the tea produced in Japan. I didn’t know that at all. While this is a tea from Japan it is perfect for an Afternoon Tea which is something we do at our house regularly. Why you ask? Because with several diabetics in the house it is the perfect way to ensure we all eat when we need to.

KENYAN BLACK TEA WITH MANGO SIPS BY AJIRI TEA

These tea reminded me of an uncle I had that passed away a couple of years ago. He loved mango tea and while I will say that it was not my favorite of the bunch it was pretty good.

THREE MINT SIPS BY PUKKA

I love mint tea and this one was no exception. I tend to drink this when I have an upset stomach. Mint tea soothes my tummy and I also give it to the kids when their tunnies are upset. It is perfect. Now this one is caffeine-free and has three different types of mint; spearmint, field mint, and peppermint. I had never heard of field mint before.

APPLE CINNAMON SIPS BY ZEST TEA

This was the tea that I couldn’t wait to try. When they say High Octane, High Caffeine they were not kidding. This was like eating some coffee grounds straight from the can. I drank a cup of this and was climbing the walls. In fact, it may have too much caffeine for me and that is saying something. The taste was wonderful. I didn’t add anything extra like sugar with this tea.

Of course I also got some more tea bags to use for the loose tea. I love these and the fact that I get enough each month for any loose tea that I get.
