You all know that I enjoy a glass of wine now and then but the one thing that I always hate is that I have to take a bottle out of my cabinet and then put in the fridge so it can chill before drinking it. I don’t keep it all in the fridge for two reasons (1) I don’t want to look like an alcoholic with a fridge full of wine and (2) I like to collect wine which is just another way of saying I may have too much! Okay that was really just one reason and before anyone gets worried I do not drink very much, I do honestly have a glass occasionally but do collect wine lots of times because I like the bottle.
Thanks to Avalon Bay however my wine chilling problems have been solved! Avalon Bay sent me their WINE27DS wine cooler to try out and the first thing my mother said when we got it out of the box is “Oh boy a drink cooler!” Let me clarify it is not a drink cooler! I keep waiting for the day I come home and find the wine on the floor and sods bottles in there! One thing you should know is that this puppy is heavy so if you don’t have anyone to help you bring it in you will need to find someone.
Luckily my FedEx guy brought it in the house for me and Ma and I together were able to get it out of the box and into place. I don’t think I could have manged that on my own although some of you may be able to. The WINE27DS holds 27 standard bottles of wine, has temperature controls and is very sleek looking. Ma said we were getting uptown while my brother said you know you have a problem when you need a separate fridge for your wine! Good thing he is my favorite brother! The racks slide out so you read the labels on the bottles but there are no stops so don’t jerk out the whole rack.
Honestly I really love this thing! As I said is very sleek and modern and adds a bit of flair to our home. While I would have never thought about owning one I am actually very glad that we have it now. When I have dinner parties now I don’t have to worry about remembering to chill the wine and I can offer guests a better selection. All I have to do is pull out a bottle and off we go. Maybe we are getting uptown after all!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I would love to have a wine cooler. This really is a great looking unit! It’s also the perfect size for us. We don’t need one of those huge ones. Maybe I will get lucky one day and get one just like this.

I have looked at smaller versions of these for our downstairs family room. I don’t have any floor space but a counter one would work. We don’t drink wine a lot but when I do want some then I have to wait until it’s cold. Then I often forget about it.

I’m like you hate that when we want to enjoy a glass of wine we need to take it out of the cabinet and then wait for it to chill; would love to just have one always chilling

WE are not wine drinkers here…me because of a BAD college experience of my husband’s (LOL) and me because of health. BUT, I have always wanted to gift my two daughters who choose wine as their adult drink. I think these are so modern and clearly make a statement to any guests…they are important and can really enjoy their own favorites. Also the “cool” thing is that it does not take up an enormous amount of space and when you are having company often the food take up the fridge space….so it’ s nice to designate a small unit for wine. Perfect temp…no warm ones sitting on the counter ready to chill. LOVE this!

You lucky girl. Do you get to keep it. I have been wanting one forever. For some reason wine from the fridge just isn’t the right temp. And its hard to store it on it’s side in a fridge. Hope you get to giveaway one sometime soon. Awesome review. Are there soda cans in there yet? LOL
