It’s that time of the year again. the time when soups make their way back onto our tables more regularly. I don’t what it is about cooler weateher but we always seem to eat more soup when the weather gets colder. Trying to eat soup that is herty but also good for you while trying to diet can be a diffcuilt task but I was lucky enough to find a company that makes soups that are hearty, good for you , and wouldn’t make my midline grow five sizes bigger with just one bowl. Kettle Cuisine is a company that not only makes great soups but also cares about what goes into those soups. While making a profit is important they are very concerned with their products and making htem better.
From Kettle Cusines Website:
After graduating from business school and while working in the foodservice industry, Kettle Cuisine’s founder Jerry Shafir identified a void in the market. In 1986, Restaurateurs serving soup had two options: make it themselves or buy poor quality canned or frozen premade soups. The finest Restaurateurs were not comfortable serving the premade options to their guests so they endured the high labor costs and taste and texture inconsistencies of making soup themselves. The opportunity, as Jerry saw it, was to provide discerning Chefs operating the kitchens of the finest eateries a better option; high quality, fresh, refrigerated soup that they could be proud to serve.
Kettle Cuisine was born. Working closely with Chefs, Jerry developed a limited line of fresh soups using only the finest quality, natural food ingredients and well tested artisan cooking techniques. In the early years, Jerry traveled door to door shopping his new concept around to Chefs who had grown skeptical of premade soups. However, once they tried the finished products they could taste the difference and gradually, one-by-one restaurants in the Greater Boston area began giving Jerry and Kettle Cuisine a chance.
TESTING Kettle Cuisine:
I recevied several soups from Kettle Cuisine but I want to highlight my favorites. First is the Chicken Chili with White Beans. I LOVE chili and will try most types but I am a chili with beans girl at heart. I had never had chicken chili or chili with white beans before. I was more than pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this tasted and how easy it was to prepare for myself. It can be microwaved but I wanted the smell to fill the kitchen so I simply took the chili and dumped the frozen lump into a pan. It heated quickly and tasted like something that took me all day to cook.
Next was the Roasted Vegetable Soup. I grew up eating vegetable soup and this was more than the soup I remeber from my childhood. It was more liek the grown up version. The vegetable were not just a few s,all bits and pieces there were actual vegetables in this that you could tate and see. That is so important when I am feeding my kids. I want toknow that they are getting the real deal, not just a bunch of over-processed mess.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I haven’t heard of this brand. They look yummy. Soups are a great fall winter food for us as well. My only concern is the sodium content.
