You may recall that not long ago I told you about Laura’s Journey to the Stars. It is a truly wonderful app and I am so thrilled to be able to share with you the second in the series Laura’s Star and the Dream-Monsters which has a wonderful story and games for the kids. You can help Laura and her brother Tommy unlock Tommy’s dreams!
Laura’s Star and the Dream-Monsters is illustrated by popular children’s book illustrator Klaus Baumgart and must say I think the illustrations are actually better than the last time. If that is even possible. The colors are so vivid that you actually feel as though you are a part of the story. The sound effects are wonderful and I really love the reader’s voice. It is so calming that it makes me want to fall asleep. Again there are three native speakers:English, German, and Mandarin Chinese. I am still holding out for Spanish and maybe it will come eventually. That is the only thing that could make me love these apps even more.
The kids LOVE these stories and I played a few of the interactive mini games (like driving the boat) and it was pretty fun. I know as they get older they are going to love playing the games as well. There are no in-app purchases which is something I can be super grateful for. It is child-friendly making things like social media sharing accessible through the teddy bear on the title page.

You can download Laura’s Star and the Dream-Monsters for only $2.99 on either iTunes or Google Play. If you are like me you are going to need this app (and all of the other Laura apps!) on all of your devices. These have become a life saver for me. I can put the kids in the stroller with this playing and shop without interruption!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I do remember you talking about the other Lauras app. It does look like a great story app. I will have to think about picking this one up.

This does sound like a wonderful book. I think the illustrations are great also because they are so kid friendly. It actually looks like my son’s room. 🙂 I bet the app is fun since you know the story and are trying to help them. Sounds like a great book to give as a gift.
