Let’s Get Grilling!

May 02, 2017 | Rita

I told you all before I wanted to share with you the new grill that we got. It took a little while for it to come in and that is because I thought the website had said it would ship in two days after payment was processed. Actually, you know what, the website did say that but I guess it was actually four days. Maybe their processing center was off somehow compared to my bank. My bank processed the transaction that afternoon and the next day everything had cleared. Either way it was frustrating for me and they apologized for the confusion.

We needed a new grill because our old one didn’t have that starter thingy anymore. I don’t know what it is actually called all I know that you had to use a match to light the grill the old way and it was gas grill. So yeah that didn’t always work out so well. There are a lot of reason why that didn’t work out well but the biggest is that fire and me do not mix. I once set our back porch on fire, twice, attempting to start the grill when I was a teen. After that I gave it up. Well, that and my dad told me his insurance couldn’t handle me and the grill at the same time.

We live in the south which means temperatures can get up to 100 and the occasional over 100 during the summer. That means, when the stove is on, our poor air conditioning is working over time. The grill allows us to prepare dinner without having to run up the electric bill. It is just one the ways we save a little money. Now I still have to pay the grill off because we got from……wait for it….Fingerhut! I had never used them before but my older brother told me to check them out. They had grills that allowed me to pay a little at time without costing a fortune. I checked other retailers and one of my favorites that allowed layaway waiting like $60 for shipping. That is just crazy to me. This was the way to go for us and I couldn’t be happier at the moment.

We live in the South too and grill year round. We also have three smokers. I am glad my fiance’ loves to cook on the weekend because it gives me a break from the kitchen. Nice little grill you got!
